Art Director

The Art Director is responsible for overseeing the art and design across all products at MarcoPolo. The suitable candidate will help create new ideas and interactive experiences for kids that are delightful, educational and highly engaging. This position requires someone with strong leadership abilities to manage the team of artists/designers and the process and make/communicate decisions with various team members.

A passion for early learning kids’ interactive media is a must in this role with the suitable candidate having the ability to ideate and create engagiging expereicnes for children within the range of 3-7.

Responsibilities

• Managing designers and artists taking a project from conception through to implementation.

• Managing projects, timelines and communicating with the other teams.

• Ability to apply design knowledge and intuition to the kid’s space.

• Create original visual designs and UXD.

Requirements

• Must have at least 5 years of experience in the kids interactive media and/or gaming industry.

•  An ability to connect with a kids’ psyche and understand the way they experience mobile games and videos.

•  Clearly articulate designs and visuals using Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Invision and other prototyping tools.

• Ability to gracefully handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and prioritize accordingly and create road maps for team projects.

• Proven track record influencing design and product direction with actionable insights.

• Good communicator and stakeholder manager.

• Clear understanding of current kids interactive media landscape.• Attention to detail, organized, good follow-through.

• Innovative and creative thinker.

Line Producer

This position is responsible for overseeing the video production and schedule coordination at MarcoPolo. Working alongside the art team, the video content line producer will be responsible for media video content from conception through to delivery, helping drive the narrative of the content. The suitable candidate will work closely with the multiple internal and external stakeholders and as such strong leadership experience is required to align multiple projects and visions maintaining consistency across projects.

We are looking for a person with a passion for kids’ animated media. As such, experience with and an interest in working within kids’ (3-7) content is a must for the success within this role.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for short form video content .

• Managing and evaluating content submissions and presenting finals to CEO.

• Creation and development of narrative working closely with writers.

• Building and creating efficient video based production pipelines.

• Managing schedules to maintain production is on time and within budget.

• Manage external partners and internal stakeholders, including negotiating contracts with writers, voice actors, external studios and creative.

• Maintaining compliance and brand consistency.

• Project management and resource allocation on video based projects

• Work with educators to develop episode curriculum

Requirements

• Proven track record producing and developing preschool children’s video content • Master articulator, able to translate vision from conception to final product within time and budget constraints.

• Proven budget and schedule management experience.

• At least 5 years of experience in kids TV with a clear understanding of current kids media and TV landscape

• Understanding of kids’ psyche and ability to translate this to screen

• Ability to gracefully handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and prioritize accordingly and create road maps for team projects.

• High level of attention to detail, organized, and the ability to follow-through on concepts.

• Innovative and creative thinker with an appreciation of a sleeves rolled up start up mentality.

 

 

Graphic Designer

This position involves extending the design of our brand across all products at MarcoPolo. As part of the design team, you’ll work on apps, videos, and marketing, and you’ll also ensure brand consistency across our range of digital products.

We are looking for a person with a passion for kids interactive media, with the ability to ideate and create engaging experiences. This is a full-time role, based in London.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, evolve, and implement our design and style guidelines.

• Produce marketing materials, including: emails, ads, presentations, branded products, PR materials, social media content, etc.

• Ability to apply design knowledge and intuition to the kids space.

• Ensure brand consistency across all products through user interface and user experience.

• Mentor junior designers and interns.

Requirements

• 2+ years designing for digital products.

• UI and Brand graphic design working on Apps and mobile.

• A substantial portfolio that reflects the ability to present concepts and designs.

• Ability to create design solutions for complex problems and to create brand systems.

• Proactivity. You are self-driven and have a great attitude to challenges.

• Ability to prioritise and multi-task when given aggressive deadlines.

• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Invision and other prototyping tools.Extra
