Design Director

This position involves overseeing the art and design across all products at MarcoPolo. Helping to create new ideas and interactive experiences for kids that are delightful, educational and highly engaging. This position requires someone with strong leadership abilities to manage the team of artists/designers and the process and make/communicate decisions with various team members.
 
We are looking for a person with a passion for kids’ interactive media, with the ability to ideate and create engaging experiences.

 

Responsibilities
– Managing designers and artists taking a project from concept through implementation
– Managing project, timelines and communicating with the other teams
– Ability to apply design knowledge and intuition to the kid’s space
– Create original visual designs and UXD

 

Requirements
– Must have at least 5 years of experience in the kids interactive media and/or gaming industry.
– Be a constant champion for the user-kids, connecting with a kid’s psyche and the way they experience mobile games and videos.
– Clearly articulate designs and visuals using Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Invision and other prototyping tools.
– Ability to gracefully handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and prioritize accordingly and create road maps for team projects.
– Proven track record influencing design and product direction with actionable insights.
– Good communicator
– Clear understanding of current kids interactive media landscape
– Attention to detail, organized, good follow-through.
– Innovative and creative thinker.

Product Manager

This position involves creating new game ideas and interactive experiences for kids that are delightful, educational and highly engaging. This position requires someone with strong leadership abilities to manage the production process and make/communicate decisions with various team members – developers, stakeholders, designers etc.
 
We are looking for a person with a passion for kids’ interactive media. A strong communicator/leader with the ability to ideate and create those experiences.

 

Responsibilities
– Working in close collaboration with other designers, product and engineering to see a project from concept through implementation.
– Manages project, timelines, and communication between teams.
– Ability to apply their gaming knowledge and intuition to the kid’s space.
– Storyboard games and ideate new game mechanics.

 

Requirements
– Must have at least 2 years of production experience in the kids interactive media and/or gaming industry.
– Be a constant champion for the user-kids, connecting with a kid’s psyche and the way they experience mobile games and videos.
– Experience and/or knowledge of game engines and frameworks (Unity 3D, Unreal, Sprite Kit, libGDX, etc.)
– Clearly articulate game designs, gameplay, and visuals using Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Invision and other prototyping tools.
– Ability to gracefully handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and prioritize accordingly and create road maps for team projects.
– Proven track record influencing product direction with actionable insights.
– Eloquent communicator, comfortable with different communication styles needed for engineers, designers, and business stakeholders.
– Excellent technical, problem-solving, quality assurance, organizational and analytical skills.
– Clear understanding of current mobile game trends.
– Must have strong judgment/analytical problem solving skills.

Product Marketing Director

We are looking for an experienced online marketer with exceptional quantitative/analytical skills to join our growing team! This person will be responsible for building out the company’s product marketing organization and will also work very closely with the company’s product managers and functional marketing leads.

 

Responsibilities
– Recruit, manage and develop a team focused on growing MarcoPolo’s Apps, Video, and Subscription businesses
– Work closely with product teams and functional marketing leads to develop and execute integrated marketing plans
– Analyze performance of all marketing programs (including ad spend) to identify the best opportunities for optimization, and regularly iterate to maximize performance.
– Work closely with game teams to provide detailed marketing forecasts on a daily, weekly and quarterly basis
– Identify value proposition and key messages, write creative briefs for internal or external agencies to ensure we produce best in class creative which is consistent across all channels and resonates with consumers
– Manage the product launch process for MarcoPolo’s Apps, Video, and Subscription products

 

Requirements
– 5 years of experience in online consumer marketing with a heavy focus on quantitative analysis.
– Exceptional analytical and quantitative modeling skills
– Solid understanding of online advertising platforms & related metrics (Facebook is preferred)
– Experience with cutting-edge email design, production, scheduling, and metrics is a plus
– Experience with multivariate testing
– Experience – and desire – to do both strategic marketing and daily execution and optimization
– A strong track record of success and results at previous companies
– Previous start-up, games and/or social media experience is a strong plus
– Strong influencing and leadership skills; effective cross-functional driver
– Outstanding written and oral communication skills
– Ability to be flexible on a day-to-day basis with task priority
– Ability to operate at an extremely fast pace
